Privacy policy What Pathery knows about you.

Pathery does not collect your data. There is no server that receives your entries, no database of what you enter, and no way for anyone at Pathery to read it.

They are saved on your device only. Pathery keeps your entries in your browser’s local storage, so you can come back to them later.

They are cleared after seven days without a visit. You do not need to do anything. To remove them sooner, clear your browsing data for this site in your browser settings.

When your entries are cleared, Pathery keeps one thing for thirty days: the date they went, and which tool they belonged to, so it can tell you they have cleared. It holds none of your words.

On a shared device, clear your browser data when you finish. Until they are cleared, anyone else using the same device and browser could open Pathery and see your entries.

When you open a homework link, your device keeps three things alongside your entries: which link you arrived on, the date your therapist asked for the work back, and their one-line note. All three came inside the link itself, and none is sent to Pathery.

When you send your work back, it travels inside a link that you send to your therapist yourself. Anyone who has that link can open it, and it stays in your browser history and in the app you sent it with. Send it only to your therapist.

Pathery does not ask who you are. Using an exercise on its own sets no cookies. Opening a homework link from your therapist sets one: it marks the device so the link works there and nowhere else, and it lasts 30 days. It holds a random code and nothing about you. Pathery does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other websites.

Cloudflare hosts Pathery and sends its pages to your browser. It keeps brief records of each request, including your IP address, to run the site and protect it from attack, and counts page visits without cookies or any way to identify you. It never receives anything you enter, because your entries stay on your device.

Everything else the site needs, including its typefaces, comes from Pathery itself. No other company is told that you visited.

Giving your email address is entirely optional. Pathery works fully without it, and nothing on the site is withheld if you choose not to.

What is collected. Your email address and the date you signed up. Nothing else. You are not asked for your name, and you are never asked why you are using Pathery.

What it is used for. Occasional notes about Pathery itself: new tools as they are released, and significant changes to the site. Roughly once a month, and often less.

Your consent is needed, and Pathery cannot send you these notes without it. After you enter your address you will receive one email asking you to confirm. If you do not confirm, your address is deleted and you hear nothing further.

It will not be used for anything else. It will not be used to market anything other than Pathery, it will not be sold, and it will not be passed to any third party for their own marketing.

It is never linked to your entries. This is not a promise but a structural fact: your entries are never sent to Pathery, so there is nothing to link them to.

You can opt out at any time, free of charge. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, or you can email hello@pathery.app and ask to be removed. Your address is then deleted rather than flagged.

Where it is stored. The list is held by Buttondown, a newsletter service based in the United States, which processes it on Pathery’s behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.

How long it is kept. Until you unsubscribe. Unconfirmed addresses are deleted after 30 days.

When you create an account, Pathery keeps:

• your email address, and the dates your account was created and last used;
• your plan and its payment state from Stripe: whether a subscription is active, when it renews, and any change you have booked;
• one record for each link you create: the date, the exercise, the code you chose for your client, your one-line note, when the link expires, and any returned date you type in yourself;
• for each link, a coded mark for the device that opened it, so the link cannot be passed around. The mark is a scrambled random number, not anything about the device or the person;
• which account emails have been sent to you and when, so none is sent twice.

Pathery never holds anything your client writes, a copy of the work they send back, or whether they sent it. Use initials or a pseudonym as your client’s code, never a name.

Your account is held by Supabase in Singapore. Sign-in and account emails are delivered by Resend, which keeps a record of each delivery for thirty days. Payments are taken by Stripe: your card details go to Stripe and never to Pathery. Each processes this on Pathery’s behalf. Email hello@pathery.app to have an account deleted.

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@pathery.app.

Pathery is intended for adults and is not designed for children.

What you enter in an exercise will never be sent to Pathery. When Pathery adds anything that changes what it keeps, this page is updated first, and the date at the top shows when.
